Who writes this

Shahzaib Nagi is the founder and editor of BrandPromotions. He writes about business content, search and the unglamorous parts of running a small company — and edits every guide published here before it goes live.

He can be reached through the contact page. Every article carries his byline because a named writer is accountable for what is published.

What we believe about business writing

Content is not a volume game. A single article that answers a real question — properly, with structure and evidence — outperforms twenty thin posts published to fill a calendar. That belief shapes every project we take on.

It also means we say no. If a brief has no audience, no clear outcome or no research behind it, we will ask questions before quoting. That conversation is part of the work.

How we work

Every engagement follows the same four stages: brief, outline, draft, edit. The outline stage is where most projects are saved — approving structure before drafting avoids the expensive rewrite that comes from a misunderstood brief.

We write in plain English. Short sentences where they help. Concrete examples instead of adjectives. Claims we can support, and a note when something is an opinion rather than a fact.

What we do not do

  • We do not promise rankings or traffic numbers. Search results depend on factors no writer controls.
  • We do not publish invented statistics, reviews or case studies.
  • We do not use AI to generate finished articles and pass them off as written work.
  • We do not take on topics where we cannot add real expertise.

Who we work with

Small businesses, ecommerce stores and service brands that publish consistently or want to start. If you have a website that has not been updated in a year, or a blog with twenty posts and no readers, that is a normal starting point.

Good content is a decision about what to leave out. Most drafts get better when a third of the words disappear.
